{"id":100,"date":"2020-02-17T16:15:24","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T15:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.metashare.com\/metashare-help-admin-manual-how-to-delete-a-metashare-workspace\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T11:19:43","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T09:19:43","slug":"how-to-delete-a-metashare-workspace","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/en\/metashare\/adminmanual\/workspaces\/how-to-delete-a-metashare-workspace\/","title":{"rendered":"How to delete a MetaShare workspace"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In order to delete a MetaShare workspace you must have these permissions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a <a href=\"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/en\/faq\/how-to-assign-administrative-roles-in-azure\/\">SharePoint administrator<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have &#8220;Manage Site&#8221; permissions on the workspace (site collection). This is usually only given to the Site Collection administrators.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow these instructions if you have these permissions and want to delete a workspace:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/en\/usermanual\/metashares-start-page\/\">MetaShare&#8217;s start page<\/a>, select the workspace that you want to delete and click on the &#8220;Delete&#8221;\u00a0function in the horizontal toolbar.<br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"554\" class=\"wp-image-12290\" style=\"width: 700px\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remove-a-link-to-a-sharepoint-site.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remove-a-link-to-a-sharepoint-site.png 1280w, https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remove-a-link-to-a-sharepoint-site-300x130.png 300w, https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remove-a-link-to-a-sharepoint-site-1024x443.png 1024w, https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/how-to-remove-a-link-to-a-sharepoint-site-768x332.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the &#8220;Ok&#8221; button to confirm the deletion.<br><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"332\" height=\"170\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/staging-help.metashare.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-79.png\" alt=\"Confirm the workspace deletion\"><\/figure><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The workspace, and it&#8217;s corresponding site in SharePoint, is now deleted and not any more shown among the workspaces in the workspace list.
